Ok, I know no one here would EVER endorse, recommend or even suggest street racing Rolling Eyes but once in a while, I like to play with the kids in imports. Especially when they think it's a tuner 'cause it has a coffee can muffler sticking a foot past the bumper.
Earlier this evening, I pulled up to a light next to an old Toyota P/U with a crappy, homemade flatbed and a really ugly looking dually rear end under it. He started revving it up a little, so I thought "what the hell, I'll play". It sound like it was stock, but with an open exhaust. The light changed, I nailed it and got the jump on him, but at the other side of the intersection, this guy passes me with his front tires about 6 inches off the ground! After that, all I saw was taillights and dust. And not much of either for long.

Lesson learned: It's always the crappy-LOOKING ones that will be the fastest. They have sunk all their money into the engine and know that if they wreck it, they still have the engine. Nothing lost.

Sorry you got embarrassed...

i have seen some beatly little s-10s rolling around here. Nothing i do believe could make the front tires come off the ground.

His turbo must have been made by Husqavarna.
